How We Teach Preschool

In every classroom there are two full time teachers that work in  atmosphere where both are responsible for lesson development. Our classrooms are small we have only 9 to 10 students in a class. . Lesson plans are prepared before the beginning of each month and turned into the Director for review. Lesson plans are checked to ensure age appropriate activities are implemented while reflecting our curriculum.

In the preschool classrooms, two major components of each day include:

Circle Time:
To help prepare for transitions, circle time includes a discussion of the weekly theme, an introduction to the calendar that highlights the day of the week, month, and year, and a summary of the day's events. During this time, the students are also encouraged to take part in reflections and discussions. During circle time, children are actively involved in auditory learning. As part of our early childhood development goals, we always encourage each child to interact with both teachers and peers.

Center Time:

Students can improve their creativity and social skills during center time. There are seven fundamental centers that are open every day and are arranged thoughtfully to encourage learning in kids. These centers include Reading, Handwriting/Language, Art, Construction, Home-living, Manipulatives, and Sensory. Enhancing hand-eye coordination, critical thinking abilities, fine motor skills, and one-to-one correspondence are the main goals of each center.
